Course Objectives Evaluation of the provisions of the New Turkish Commercial Code (no. 6102) related to commercial enterprise law.
Learning Outcomes The students who succeeded in this course;
  • Explain the basic principles of commercial law
  • Explain the basic principles of commercial law
  • Determine the provisions to be applied in a commercial dispute in the required order
  • Compare the concepts of commercial enterprise and craftman business
  • Explain the legal position of dependent and independent merchant intermediaries and the differences amongst them in terms of their relationship with the merchant
Course Description In this course, first of all the concept of commercial enterprise will be concretized and the legal transactions, of which the commercial enterprise is the subject, will be examined in the example of transfer of the commercial enterprise. Afterwards, the concepts of commercial business and merchant, which constitute the other two pillars of the commercial enterprise law will be evaluated and the legal consequences regarding to them will be examined in detail.
